Marietta: Lashes for Days

Lash extensions are a game changer.
Signed, Ashley

Someone messaged me on Instagram the other day and said, “I just have to ask, were you blessed with the best eyelashes ever or do you have a lash artist I need to know about.” Spoiler alert: it’s the latter.

I started getting lash extensions after a eyelash curler mishap. Since my natural lashes point down, I have been curling them since high school. On the way into a meeting, I quick curled them in my car and was HORRIFIED to see that a giant collection of them were on the curler vs. on my eye. After a bit of furious Googling, I found that this can happen if your lashes are dry. Great.

So, the extensions started out as a necessity so I didn’t look bizarre (the chunk missing was truly stunning), but ended up being the simple most revolutionary aspect of my beauty routine. It’s amazing that even on no make-up, low key days I can feel somewhat put together. Now that I get extensions, I have been able to skip any eye makeup which cuts down on my getting ready time significantly (anyone else ever having a day where eyeliner just is not cooperating? Same).

I started snapping photos for my lash artist, Lav and Lox and wanted to share a few photos of her work. Between her lash work, Josh’s makeup artistry, and the model Marietta being a babe, it was lovely overload.
