Daily Driver Outfit Pieces

Pieces that you go back to over and over are the best.

I love thinking about cost per wear when I’m shopping for good basics. While I love a good over-the-top-you-won’t-be-wearing-this-all-the-time item, for daily drivers, I like to ensure that I pick clothing and accessories that will be comfortable, durable, and as timeless as possible when it comes to style. Here to share an outfit made up of pieces that fall into this category.

Before we get into the outfit fun, can we talk about how beautiful this mural is? Local artist Paige Sikkenga painted this stunning floral scene on the side of a bridal shop-how perfect. If you’re interested in her other work, you can find her on Instagram here.

Let’s get to the list!

  • Field Jacket: This is probably one of the most worn items in my entire closet. I love jackets, but find myself reaching for this one often. I adore the cognac color, gold zipper/accents, and how it pulls together any outfit with a classic spin. You can tell it’s one of my favorites, I have the same one in navy. They were both a Tommy Hilfiger find.

  • Turtleneck Sweatshirt: This cozy sweatshirt was a random Madewell find. It has a faint white and grey stripe pattern which always looks clean and simple to me. I’ve paired it with cream pants like here or jeans for an easy outfit.

  • White Linen Pants: These were actually a Target clearance purchase. I have worn them so much as they’re the perfect bottoms for any outfit.

  • Caramel Booties: These booties are another Target find that have paid for themselves 5x over. I think they were a whopping $20 so the fact that I’ve had them for years and consistently wear them speaks for itself. They’re super comfortable and finish any outfit well with their western inspired look.

  • Backpack: I have a couple backpacks from Kate Spade and use them often. They’re great for wandering a market or if you have to run errands. I have also used them for more casual meetings as they’re a perfect size for a notebook, phone, and iPad.
