Sincerely Styled-Thanksgiving Day

Rust and eggplant is my new favorite color combo.

If you follow along with me on Instagram, you might have noticed that I recently asked for outfits that people could use suggestions for. I wanted to know where they’re running stuck and could use a real life, real closet suggestion. I hope to bring you outfits that can help take out the question, “What am I going to wear to _____________.”

The outfits I’ll be sharing will be a mix of new and old pieces. I think that this is a more realistic approach to putting outfits together vs. someone feeling like they have to buy everything new to achieve the look. I hope that whether it’s the overall idea, a piece you might have already, or even just the color way, that it leaves you all inspired as you style your looks.

This time around, Thanksgiving Day was a common request. I went for an outfit that looked put together, but also comfortable enough to allow you to cook/lounge/shop whatever else the day brings. This particular outfit was all older items, so I am including links (below) for similar pieces to help you recreate this look.

I found a similar turtleneck to the one that I’m wearing from Madewell. They look extremely versatile (they’re one of my go-to layering pieces in the Fall/Winter) and are a good price point.

For the duster, I found one that’s similar on Etsy which can be a great resource for unique clothing items. It’s a bit more slouchy than mine which only turns up the comfy.

If you like the idea of a duster but want to opt for something a bit more cozy, you could always swap out for a sweater like this one.

The pants I’m wearing were a random Target find a couple years ago. When I searched for a pair that you could purchase, I found these pants from Gap and now I want to try them for myself. I love the different colors they come in especially for this time of year.

I love a good Western inspired bootie. I think they bring a lot of fun to an outfit and any pair that I’ve owned have been comfortable which makes them great for pulling outfits together without sacrificing your feet. I am IN LOVE with this pair from Bedstu-they’re on my Christmas list!

The necklace that I’m wearing in the photo was a Anthro sale find. It’s a great throw-on-with-anything piece with some nice weight to it. They have a chain wrap necklace right now that’s a similar color that looks AMAZING (it might also be on my list). I’m also including a more layered, dainty look since I know that’s another style many of you love.

Whether your Thanksgiving is more formal or you will all be rocking matching sweatsuits, I hope your heart is full of gratitude for the small and big things in life. One of the things on my list is all of you! Thanks for following along, reading these posts, and being a bright spot in my day.

Sincerely,
Ashley
