A Whiskey Ginger
It's summer cocktail time...
To celebrate the season, I wanted to create a fun summer cocktail. I had some single malt whiskey from Gray Skies Distillery that I wanted to use so decided on a Whiskey Ginger. I went to Reservoir and picked out some fun elements for my mixed drink pursuits.
We were going to spend a week with Doug's family at the lake house so I figured a refreshing drink on the dock would be a great way to unwind after a day in the sun. Recipe below!
-2 ounces of whiskey
-5-6 ounces of ginger beer
-1 large lime
-Pour lime juice and whiskey into a cocktail shaker
-Add a generous amount of ice and shake your buns off until shaker is chilled
-Pour into glass, top off with ginger beer, and garnish with lime
If you need some summer freshness in your life, head over to Reservoir in person if you are local or online. Elements in this post that you can find at Reservoir: organic glasses, bud vase, and mini galvanized chalkboard stand.
*I partnered with the fine folks at Reservoir in Grand Rapids on this post but all thoughts and content are my own.
