Gal's Getaway-Graduate Ann Arbor
"Inspired campus digs, old school supper club, and kindred spirits (some on the rocks)..."
-Graduate Ann Arbor Website
At the corner of Huron and State in the heart of Ann Arbor, is a special haven. I've stayed in many hotels but the Graduate Ann Arbor has one of the best design concepts and atmospheres that I have ever experienced. The entire hotel is a striking blend of collegiate nostalgia and handsome finishes. The design team made beautiful choices...the entire space evokes a charming warmness (which is only amplified by the attentive staff).
We loved wandering around taking in the chalkboard columns with formulas on them, vintage Michigan prints, and their new lounge which felt like the best of a retro speak easy and rich jazz club combined. From the winding staircase to the uniquely upholstered chairs in the lobby, every inch of it feels noteworthy.
Their location is perfect as well. Just up the street from the State Theatre (aka Urban Outfitters) and lots of delicious places to grab a meal. Of course they have great proximity to UofM as well; we actually met a few people staying at the hotel who were in town for a college visit. The maize and blue flags on the outside of the hotel showcased the pride in their town's most well known element...this Michigan fan was thrilled.
A quick getaway was the perfect retreat for all of us. It was great to gather some new inspiration with some women that inspire me. Y'all: take the time to do this. Schedules are busy and the daily grind can get in the way, but it's so important to carve out intentional face time with the people you love.
Thanks to Graduate Ann Arbor for collaborating with us and being the sweetest hosts. Starting with the handwritten note waiting in our room, we felt so welcome and experienced the best customer service. Speaking of, thanks to the Valet Supervisor who snapped that photo of the three of us!
Next time you're headed to Ann Arbor make sure this is your destination and connect with them on social media!
