Blue and White Striped Dress
Blue and white stripes, you’re my fave.
There are a few color combos that I am always a sucker for-most things that are black and white, a monochromatic, neutral look, and any blue and white stripes. There’s something fresh and crisp about them in the most nautical inspired way. Not only is it a classic look, they make for a great layer in outfits. Easily paired with white pants, jeans, skirts, and beyond, they’re a great starting point no matter what the season (although there is something so summery and happy about this combo).
I spotted this dress wandering through Target one day. I try to really think through my purchases there as it’s easy to just impulse grab the latest piece of clothing. However, I do have a lot of items from Target that have held up well and been in my closet for years. After a lap for the things I actually needed there, I came back and snagged one. From the stripes to the simple shape, I knew it would be a versatile one that I could wear in the Spring/Summer and beyond thanks to the long sleeves.
Wore it for a day of work and errands on one of our first warm Spring days. Second day hair brought one of my favorite Gigi Pipi hats into the mix plus sunnies (BECAUSE SUNSHINE, FINALLY!). Footwear were simple white slip-ons. Easy peasy.
