Dark Floral Dress, Side of Moody

Dark florals are my jam.

I love that floral prints are having a continued moment. A cheery floral print is always a win in my book. They seem to magically grant you a happy attitude just by slipping it on. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of brands still leaning into this trend despite the season. They’re a happy dose of needed cheer when it comes to winter wardrobes.

In my searches, I have had a tougher time finding darker floral patterns. those to me are the perfect way to marry these jolly prints and the time of year. When this maxi popped up at H&M, I knew that I needed to have it. Subtle but present with a touch of moody is exactly my speed.

To style it, I paired it with a neutral Gigi Pip hat and matching booties from a local store here in Grand Rapids. I have worn it a lot which makes me extra happy considering H&M falls into the fast fashion category. I am by no means strictly sustainable when it comes to my purchases, but in that spirit, I do like to stay cognizant of the longevity/wearability of the items that I buy.

Other ideas: think that it could be really fun with hair up + statement earrings. On another day, I wore with a pair of my favorite loafers and a cropped leather jacket. Options, meet endless.
