An Anniversary with City Flats and Sperry Moviehouse
Back in the city where it all started…
This October marks our 7th anniversary! I can’t believe that it has already been that long…time truly does fly when you’re hanging with the cutest guy in the world. This year, we did a little staycation in Holland which is where we got married. I loved walking the streets of downtown Holland thinking about one of the most significant evenings of our life. There is something beyond magical about being surrounded by all the people who know and love you.
Staycation so ordered=a stay at City Flats and movie night at the new Sperry’s Moviehouse.
For our mini getaway, we stayed at City Flats downtown Holland. This is where many of us stayed the night of our wedding! The facility is modern and beautiful with the most accommodating staff. They’re always my first choice when people ask where to stay in the Holland area. Plus, being able to walk over to the main street of shops is ideal!
For the movie lover, a date at Sperry’s Moviehouse could not have been more exciting. We ordered some food and made our way to the heated recliners (it’s just the time of year where that sounds perfect). We saw Peanut Butter Falcon which is absolutely beautiful. The cinematography, the message, the story, all of it. We both cried so there’s that…
After sleeping in-ish (I feel like I automatically wake up early now) and getting ready, we made our way downstairs for some lunch. They have a delicious eatery right in the hotel called CitySēn Lounge. They have everything from breakfast to dinner to one of the best happy hours in Holland. We relaxed, read the paper, and enjoyed some spin dip and a pizza.
The next morning we decided to wander around downtown. We hit some of our favorite shops, strolled, and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. There are endless options to choose from in this cozy corner of Holland, but here are a few of my favorites:
